Thumbprints or Raspberries & Silky Chocolate Tart?

16 Mar

IMG_3180-1 Oh yes, and then there is the wonderful cookie like sweet tart crust, cradling the combination of bittersweet and milk chocolate, reforming any purist chocolate lover.  You probably wouldn’t even detect the milk chocolate rounding up the sweetness and nice little red pop of the raspberries.  A quick go- to, put together, simple tart.  It requires few ingredients and steps.  I can’t wait to hear  from my friends who will be eating this selection.  This recipe was chosen by  Rachelle of Mommy?  I’m Hungry! I believe she was encouraged by her husband to make this her choice of recipes or…. was it Rachelle? Either way, I thought it was nice and easy.

If you are curious about those cute little cookies around the sides of the Soft Chocolate Raspberry Tart? They are Thumbprints For Us Big Guys, rounded up by Mike of Ugly Food Dude, and both recipes came from Baking From My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan. The next time you are thinking holiday baking, these little cookies are  great on cookies trays.  Plan on keeping that recipe close to your heart.  They are tasty little bites.

Most assuredly there will be some interesting chatter about these desserts on the Tuesdays With Dorie blog roll so travel around and make some new friends.  Thank you very much for stopping by for a visit.

Mmmm, a double doozie this week, huh? Good job getting them both done, they both look fantastic! I like the partially visible berries in yours.

Doesn’t it feel great to be all caught up? I’m glad you were able to make both the tart and the cookies. So far this month as been 3/5 for me. I love when everything I bake tastes SO good. Then again my hips are starting to protest. HA!

Your tart is gorgeous! I agree, the combination of the crust and the soft chocolate with the raspberries was delicious. And it feels like forever since we made the thumbprints but it was just last week. Looks like they worked out great!

Mmm, the tart looks great. I really want to try it with raspberries after seeing all the yummy tarts I’ve seen!
I really liked those cookies, too! I made mine with Nutella.

A few days late , but with a few compliments. Beautiful cookies and a beautiful tart! I thought the thumbpint-made-with-your-pinky cookies were especially good. More so than the tart, but to each his or her own. Nicely presented as a duo Amy!

Hi – sorry for the off-topic comment, your contact forms seems to be out of commission. :-) I’m writing because I’m the self-appointed ‘social director’ of the St. Louis food bloggers and somehow, I’m not sure, your site got onto the list. Perhaps you’re nearby? Anyway we are planning a get together on March 29th and if you’d like to be included, e-mail me and I’ll send an invite. Even if you’re not able to attend this event, if you’d like to be on the mailing list for future events (and occasional mailings to introduce new bloggers etc), please e-mail anyway. Many thanks!
