Pictures do tell a story, invite discussion and well in this case, they help friends make friends. Specifically blog friends connect and yes, make a few new baking friends.
This week we traveled to Nashville for a visit. This is where I’m going to attempt to keep it short because I tend to chatter. While sharing a notable location on instagram, a few local folks popped up and gave me a shout out. Which led to a “Meet Cute.” Did you watch the Holiday? Then you know what a meet cute is right? Even though it wasn’t the movies and we are not romantic, you might say we are blog buddies. I think that constitutes a “meet cute.” We set a place and time. Off we go.
The Sweet 16th Bakery and a Meet Cute with Karen of Our Crazy Blessed Life, a fellow Tuesdays With Dorie baker and blogger. We noshed on beautifully tender scones, (no I didn’t photograph) and had morning beverages. I just ate and it was sweet. After our brief time of getting acquainted, I knew Karen would be someone to connect with again when visiting Nashville. You’ll detect her warmth when you read her blog. She is a precious Mom and wife.
She had a deadline and had to be on her way. I lingered at the Sweet 16th Bakery. and watched the passing parade of patrons. What you don’t see in the photos below is the neighborhood in which this lovely bakery is woven. That means this bakery is the equivalent of Cheers only the sweet variety.
Then I visited with the proprietors, Dan and Ellen Einstein. “Eureka” guess what I learned? The Dorie Greenspan pixie dust sprinkles again. They know our very own Tuesdays With Dorie, Dorie Greenspan. Dorie are you reading? I made friends with a mutual friend of yours. They are a delightful couple. I’m not surprised they are your friends.
